Remember when
we were just friends
discovery and laughter
intertwined enjoyment
you and me
youth and joy so
easy and simple

We existed on that
friendship realm,
teenage years expanding to
undergrad freedom
what's up and where you be
holla at me and get me back
playful and teasing
flirting and hugging
hoping and wishing
